The Chardonnay is a very well priced EKS Zip and Link bed set at £375 based upon a 13.5 gauge bonnell spring system. This is not as firm as the orthopaedic beds but it does utilise an orthopaedic pad to ensure you will never feel the springs poking through.
The comfort level is a medium - not too soft and not too firm.
Standard features on the base include an upholstered top (not just covered hardboard) to give additional cushioning for the mattress, although there is an optoin the option to add a superior sprung edge to the base for an additional charge (see below)
Although not shown on the main image a rolled and padded bumper bar on the base is included as standard - this is a detail that is usually held for models costing a lot more.
Need to know: Due to the 13.5 gauge spring this mattress is not suitable for body weights above 16 stone
